Non-diegetic sound is any and all sounds in a film that doesn't originate from within the world of the film. The characters within the scene can't hear it. Helps the audience connect to a scene. Example, connect with victim.
A diegetic sound is any sound that the characters in a film or play can hear. Used to help the audience understand what's happening on screen and create tension, suspense, and excitement. Example, confrontation of mom at the end.
Hyperbolic sound is used to maximise the feeling of sounds in the audience, evrything is very loud and exaggerated.
Fade to black in film, a fade to black is used symbolize completion, meaning a narrative thought is finished. In our film it is used to symbolize and complete the scene but does not give any answers to the audience (cliffhanger).
Blurr into image creates a sense of speed or convey a passage of time.Time pass while image blurs, audience does not know what has happened during that time.
Cut to is opposite of blur, makes time pass faster but includes more info, everything can be seen. Audience knows what is happening.
