Horror films are unsettling films made to frighten and panic their audience but at the same time entertain, films have different types of codes and conventions that separate them into genres and subgenres. In horror films we can clearly see jumpscares, low key lightning, flashbacks, quick flashing shots, dark colour palettes, young children. Shot composition is very important in all types of film especially in horror because this depends on the suspense and tense you wanna make the audience be in.
