The media form of connotation that makes us understand what we are looking at which includes: camerawork (how the camera is used which include positions, movement, framing, exposure, lens choice) editing ( manipulation on deciding how to edit clips and where to position them meaning graphic edits, rhythmic edits, special edits, temporal edits) audio ( the sound to what we hear whilst watching a film as for dialogues, sound effects and music in which each one divides into its own category) and lighting (manipulation or a fake or real light to help with each scene as for the quality direction source and colour) , symbolicThis code helps us understand over the meaning of things in the movie that are similar to real life as for the setting( where the plot occurs in a certain scene with its own spaces and atmospheres) mise en scene (is what we see thru the film that is contained in the movie for example compositions, shots, sounds, angles, costumes, set design) acting (whom portray over a character in a film helping to make continuous movie thru its own body movements, vocal ranges, and emotions) and colour( in movies the colours take a roll on the connotation, this portrays a scene or what is being sensed thru the types of colours that have a meaning as for black being a mysterious, dark scene and having dominant colours to portray what is being scene) and written codes are used communicate the film thur printed languages or spoken ones informing about a character or situation spoken language and printed language.
The shots in this scene helps us understand the setting and what is happening in the soroundings, the dark palette and flashing lights in this scene gives the audience a mysterious feeling, the sounds and when it turns quiet helps with the details wich can make it more profesional and scary at the same time.
